CPP, CNRP second meeting produces three point agreements
Monday morning’s meeting held at the National Assembly between the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) and the Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) leaders ended around 1:30 in the afternoon, producing a joint agreement by both parties. After the meeting the two opposing party senior officials announced a joint statement over the outcome of the meeting in news conference. A three-point agreement was made which included: respecting the King’s wishes to stop the violence, reforming the national election committee, and continuing discussions on all levels. … Sam Rainsy and Hun Sen were seen shaking hands at the start of the meeting. …
